Thanksgiving Pie
Preheat oven to 350
Step 1: Make or buy your favorite pie crust. I like to use a fingering technique for the crust.
Step 2: Layer the bottom of your pie with stuffing.
Step 3: Top with a layer of turkey meat.
Step 4: Add a layer of veggies. I used peas and corn. Any leftover veggie side from your Thanksgiving dinner will do!
Step 5: Pour some gravy on it! This will make your pie moist and help bind the layers together.
Step 6: Spread a layer of sweet potato or yams.
Step 7: Choose a star shaped frosting tip and fill a frosting bag with mashed potatoes. Starting from the center of the pie, dot little potato stars until it covers most of the pie, leaving a little space between the crust and the potato.
Step 8: Choose a circular frosting tip and fill a frosting bag with sweet potato. Dot sweet potato around the pie creating an outline between he crust and the potato stars.
Step 9: Put mini marshmallows into the finger pockets of the crust.
Step 10: Decorate the top of your pie with cranberry sauce and veggies. I would recommend peas, corn and carrots for fall colors!
Bake for 30 mins.
Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Cut into slices and enjoy your second Thanksgiving dinner! Perfect ready made meal for Black Friday shopping :)
